Hi, I'm not really used to adding things to Wikipedia articles, but what do you think about adding a few more features in the comparison?
I'm thinking about adding a Live Stream support column. That would list the supported live stream protocols/plateforms by the different softwares. -- 11:42, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
I am looking for softwares that have live streaming capabilities. 66.233.156.4 (talk) 09:40, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
Perhaps it might make sense to track, which tools can be used as libraries or servers, controlled by some larger host application and acting on its requests. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.90.120.180 (talk) 14:22, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
This article should be merged with List of screencasting software instead of being deleted (cf List of instant messaging clients). 16@r (talk) 11:31, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

In the Screencasting article I just added Jing for Mac & Windows and also added links for Jing and iShowU HD. I'm not adept enough at editing tables to want to mess things up here. If someone could figure out the comparisons for them and add them to the table, it would be great! —Preceding unsigned comment added by JazzyGroove (talk • contribs) 22:11, 3 June 2009

Pity the article says nothing about recording a streaming video, including only recording the video and not the whole screen. 89.243.182.24 (talk) 20:22, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
I might be a good idea to add WeGame onto this list as it is a game screen capture program. PinothyJ (talk) 07:22, 9 May 2010 (UTC)…
Play Claw should be added to the chart. Terrorist96 (talk) 21:32, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
The three programs that have 'web application' under their 'OS' heading, all seem to be using java applets. Can anyone determine whether they are all using the same codebase, and if so where it originated? (ideally, via reliable sources, so that we can document it here; but through your own dissection would work for my own curiosity (and the benefit of WP:WikiProject Screencast).) Thanks. -- Quiddity (talk) 17:44, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
Alright everyone, spam party is over. The first pillar of Wikipedia is Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, which says Wikipedia is not an advertisement platform. Therefore every single entry in this list must show an evidence that it is not an advertisement and actually have popular acceptance. A Wikipedia article or at least one citation in reliablesecondary sources is required. That means people are not allowed to create a user account only to advertise the product of that company here, especially one that corresponds to their company name.
For sometimes now, I saw red links in this list but tolerated them because I assumed good faith in their contributors and thought they will add the corresponding article too. But this never happened. Hence, as explained in Wikipedia:Write the article first, from this point on, every single entry in this list must have a corresponding Wikipedia article.
I am ready to negotiate on this point will all of you Wikipedians, but if your only reason is 'ignore all rules, simply because doing so is so HOT!', then know that your negotiation will not even start. Fleet Command (talk) 09:05, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
It would be useful to add a column in the features table with the formats in which the apps can record. I do not have time to do it for all apps though (I do have it for some, as I am researching which one I am going to use). Mencial (talk) 14:31, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

I see some screecasting software with features for the mouse (for example, a circle, to see more easily where the mouse is) and a zoom to some part of the screen. It would be good include in the comparation. BoldLuis (talk) 19:19, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
